Vitality - The Origin Of Being.Part Six
After Satan had made his tactical withdrawal Adam and Eve looked at each other in disbelief, not sure of what to say or do next. Both of them were fascinated by the strange twist the snake had applied to a subject of such grave importance. They stayed in silence for a considerable time near the forbidden tree, neither one choosing to confide in the other, or in God, for they feared that their secret desires might be questioned. The truth was that they wanted to believe what Satan had told them, not only to satisfy a consuming curiosity, but to fulfil a vain wish to be God's equal. Finally, Adam made the first move in the hope that he could distract Eve and coax her away from the tree. His plan was to return on his own and sample its fruit. Eve, for her part, had no intention of moving until she had eaten some of the fruit. As her plan was the more straight forward it was inevitable that she would be the first to eat what was forbidden. Satan, the snake concealed in the grass, waited for his moment, the moment when he would transfer his evil parasitical spirit from the snake to the fruit of the tree. To make extra sure of destroying his prey's immortality he decided to infuse more of his evil essence into the most attractive fruit on the top branches. As soon as Adam was out of sight, Eve, who by now had lost wisdom, greedily picked Satan's choice. With high expectations she ate the fruit, only to discover that nothing extraordinary or mysterious took place. She was not aware that the reason for this was that Satan, in his cunning, lay dormant within her. From a long term perspective it was imperative for him to wait until he had invaded both of their beings, so that subsequently he could have access into the lives of all their offspring, for ages to come. Eve had little trouble in persuading Adam to eat the fruit she offered him, for he optimistically imagined he could see a slight change in her appearance. Once he consumed the fruit Satan struck them both with devastating effect. Being incorporeal they were, at the time, hovering some six feet above the ground which was near the top of the tree. Regardless of where they were Satan, who by now was desperate to be revitalised by their God given supernatural energy, brutally gorged himself on their resplendent vitality. Instantly the radiance that clothed them was stripped away and they were naked. Denuded not only of the radiance that surrounded them but stripped of all that made them noble and immortal. Divest of their incorporeal vitality they immediately came under the influence of gravity, the first law of physical existence, and they fell to the ground with a resounding thud. Badly shaken and bleeding they felt physical pain for the first time and although they were in shock from the fall it was nothing in comparison to their spiritual hurt and anguish. Satan, by this time, was screaming hysterically and he scoffed and gloated over them as they lay prostrate in the dust. The commotion he made was so extreme that it attracted some of the lesser fallen angels who began to make attempts to join in the supernatural feast. By now Satan was highly invigorated and he began to fight with them in an attempt to drive them off in case they killed Adam and Eve prematurely, which was before they produced any offspring for his future energy needs. God observed the mayhem with great sorrow and disappointment and He could see that even a revitalised Satan would not be able to protect Adam and Eve from the hordes of ravenous fallen angels. Without hesitation God commanded the archangels of His Divine kingdom to drive off Satan and all the other parasitical rebels that were gathering around a stricken Adam and Eve. Once Satan and his cohorts had been routed God encircled His fallen children with a defensive screen of angels. He then commissioned a special angel for each of them, to be their lifelong guardians.
