Maxim RevisionMore on Wisdom Wisdom, in many ways, is like being a good and alert driver of a motor vehicle. A good driver knows and understands the rules of the road and keeps them.To be given the privilege to drive on the road you must have a drivers license which is gained after a test of your competence to handle a car and your knowledge of the road code. In other words, you do not make up your own rules and regulations when it comes to life on the road. If you constantly ignore or flout the law of the road, you will lose your license, or more sadly lose your life. True wisdom is not a license but a talent given by God as a potential to use our gift of freewill wisely. The opening maxim features the link between wisdom and freedom. "Keep to the straight and narrow, which in reality is true and broad freedom." "Closed is the wisdom of the search, to the blind mob." "Test all information, not by prejudice, but under the microscope of intelligent seeking and searching." "Having the ability to see differences for what they are is always an advantage." "Incapable of understanding logic is a fault, not of ability to understand, but inability to seek and concentrate on the logic of My ways, My truths." "It is always advisable to keep your eyes and ears open, as well as your mind." "Cherish the words I have given you, so that the thoughts of your minds and the works of your hands will be fruitful all the days of your lives." "Frame the image of the past, to shape the future." "True understanding of being is absolutely essential to raise the level of social and spiritual well being and development." "Never be afraid to be good." "Teaching and learning takes time out of guessing and speculating." "Cheerfulness does not always mean that joy is at the heart of the matter." "Choosing should not just be a desire, but an essential use of wise considerations." "Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but along with that entitlement goes the responsibility to constantly test that opinion for validity." "To avoid sin is to have a commitment to eternal order." "True and useful education is the knowledge of facts, not fiction." "A mistake, a fall, is not necessarily failure but an opportunity for improvement and an opportunity for refinement." "In all things there is a delicate balance to be sought and found." "The wheel that squeaks gets the grease, but if it keeps on squeaking it gets replaced." "Use My word as the pivot of your balance." "Too much complaining, when the cause for complaint is self-inflicted, does not go down too well with the wise and humble." "To learn by hard experience is painful and not desirable, but the school of hard knocks is often the only school some will learn in." "To be wise is to give freedom to your spirit to give honour and glory to your Creator, your God." "Laziness leads to serious complacency and ultimately to a life in ruins. Use your time wisely." "Goodwill towards the truth fosters peace and joy."
