Maxim RevisionRelationships The maxims on relationships consider the subject from an all embracing understanding that mankind is a family; related offspring of God who is our Father, the source, the wellspring of our being, the Lord of all supply. The maxims begin by informing us that poise is a vital need if we are to realise and exercise our responsibilities as brothers and sisters, not only of one another but of God's divine son Jesus Christ who died for us. The opening maxim introduces us to the supreme example of the poise of the Holy Spirit. To fully understand this maxim it is essential to know that the word poise is used as the cgs or SI (scientific) unit of viscosity of a fluid. It is also interesting to know that to be poised is to be self-possessed; dignified; composed, balanced and prepared for action. "The supreme example of poise is the fluid authority of God's Holy Spirit, ever present and ever ready to act graciously and accurately." "Poise is what is lacking in the relationships between nations and people." "To prevent bad behaviour from escalating beyond control seek and practice poise." "Do not be misled, poise is not weakness but strength." "It takes dedication and practice to be poised for any eventuality." "Replace all self-justification with true social justice." "A cool attitude towards misbehaviour will lead to hot water for a society so inclined." "Senseless predictions by stargazers and cardsharps is a sad reflection on the intelligence of too many of My children." "Give timely expressions of support to those who need to be encouraged." "Freedom is not to be seen as a license for laziness." "Happy those who gift their time with love." "Contempt and prejudice are related." "Use good judgement and consideration when sharing, so that the recipients of your good intentions are not belittled or ungrateful." "Do not confuse the spirit of criticism with the gift of discernment." "Spiritual discernment is a precious and powerful gift that must always be exercised with a love in tune with wisdom." "Human nature has always tended to be fickle, Satan's ploy. Be discerning, stay sober and avoid becoming Satan's toy." "Never be afraid to be good and discerning." "In being yourself allow others the same respect." "In your attempts to be successful do not in any way covet the worthy success of others." "Strong and erroneous opinions expressed in loud and vulgar language does not help to promote peaceful and loving relationships." "In all things there is a delicate balance to be sought and found.
