Discernment

Fundamentally, discernment is keen perception or judgement; the ability to differentiate between what is right or wrong, what is good and what is bad or evil. To be bereft of, or denied the use of this faculty is to be placed in a position of grave danger, both physically and morally (spiritually). If you are wondering what is happening to the world look no further than the denial of our rights to discern, particularly regarding moral behaviour. The following maxims give clear directions regarding discernment.

"Having the ability to see differences for what they are is always an advantage."

"Tolerance does not take preference over the truth."

"Make a wise choice from the differences observable between good and evil."

"True education is the development of the intellect to recognise the difference between right and wrong."

"When an educational program deliberately attempts to confuse the intellect with perverse opinions then it is of evil intent."

"Do not confuse the spirit of criticism with the gift of discernment."

"Spiritual discernment is a precious and powerful gift that must always be exercised with a love in tune with wisdom."

"Human nature has always tended to be fickle, Satan's ploy. Be discerning, stay sober and avoid becoming Satan's toy."

"Counter evil with a discerning spirit, to love what is good and reject what is degenerate."

"Never be afraid to be good and discerning."

"Look about you, what do you see? Good and evil. What do you desire the most?"

"When spiritual education is avoided or neglected the result is the degrading of moral values and the development of an increasingly lawless society."
