Satan - Evil.

Satan - meaning plotter - is the prince of lies and devils; the leader of the spiritual revolt against God; God's adversary and the tempter of mankind. Prior to his revolt and fall from honour he was the angel of light, 'Lucifer', and as Lucifer he was brilliant (clever) and beautiful, that is, before vanity became his master and undoing. Although he has lost his former position and prowess he is still formidable, therefore never chance your arm against him without the protection of God's spiritual forces, lest you fall to his wiles, particularly of flattery and lies. Do not be deceived, Satan has an agenda for the subjugation of mankind to his vain and evil authority. In the maxims God warns us about Satan's plans and instructs us not to be fooled by his stratagems.
